Other effective magic weapons are the ones from Corrupt/Crimson and Hallowed Mimics.
Some tips for mage users are listed below.
1 - Long Lasting Use~ Save your mana as best you can. Your mana regenerates slower the more is used, or alternatively use the mana flower equip with greater or super mana potions.
2 - Equipment~ Chose your equipment wisely, this is important as there are different equipment sets for different mage playstyles.
Example: Wings, Celestial Cuffs, Mana Flower, Star Veil, Sorcerer Emblem, Ankh Sheild
3 - Effective modifiers~ This ties in with tip 2 because as explained you have the second to lowest defense. The end game Nebula armor has a low defense of 46, but with helpful modifiers for defense it can go to about 62.
4 - Weaponry~ A mage has a variety of weapons to use and this tip just focuses on how they work. Weapons like the Razorblade Typhoon and the Nebula Arcanum are homing weapons capable of killing single targets at a time when the Last Prism, Laser Machinegun, and Venom Staff can easily clear groups of enemies, But you can use whatever weapons you prefer.
